It uses the Tube package in order to optimize the performance of this voltage regulator. In this voltage regulator, there are 6 terminations. There is one type of analog IC that this voltage regulator is equipped with, and that is the SWITCHING REGULATOR type. This harley voltage regulator is available in the TO-263-6, D2Pak (5 Leads + Tab), TO-263BA package for the purpose of space saving. There are 1 outputs configured on the voltage regulator. As you can see, this DC DC switching regulator generates Fixed output on its output pins. A voltage regulator 12v such as this one fits the Surface Mount mounting bracket.
