This harley voltage regulator utilizes the Tube package for optimized performance. During the development of this harley voltage regulator, 7 terminations were made. There are two types of analog ICs in this voltage regulator 12v: SWITCHING REGULATOR ICs, which are the ones used in older voltage regulator 12vs. Space savings are achieved by placing this voltage regulator in the TO-263-8, D2Pak (7 Leads + Tab), TO-263CA package. In this case, DC DC switching regulator has 1 outputs configured to it. On the output pins of this DC DC switching regulator, there is a Adjustable output generated. A voltage regulator 12v such as this one fits the Surface Mount mounting bracket. As long as its operating temperature is -40°C~125°C TJ, dc to dc voltage regulator should perform well. There is a switching frequency of 100kHz~200kHz for this voltage regulator 12v. Voltage regulators like this one can operate at least with 4V as the dc to dc voltage regulator's minimum input voltage. As a result of the 5A Switch output current, voltage regulator offers maximum flexibility in design.
