There is a SWITCHING REGULATOR type analog IC in this voltage regulator 12v that is used to convey analog signals. In order to save space, this voltage regulator is packaged in the TO-220-7 (Formed Leads) package. In this case, DC DC switching regulator has 1 outputs configured to it.
