A Tube package is used in this voltage regulator to optimize performance. As you can see, this harley voltage regulator contains 8 terminations. There are two types of analog ICs in this voltage regulator 12v: SWITCHING REGULATOR ICs, which are the ones used in older voltage regulator 12vs. In order to save space, this voltage regulator is packaged in the 8-SOIC (0.154, 3.90mm Width) package. There are 1 outputs on DC DC switching regulator. The adjusting voltage regulator generates Adjustable output. Switching regulators like this one can be mounted on the Surface Mount mounting system.
