MCF52258AG80 emerges as a member of the ColdFire family of reduced instruction set computing (RISC) microprocessors developed by NXP Semiconductors / Freescale. High performance and low power consumption can be ensured due to the Version 2 ColdFire variable-length RISC processor core operating at a frequency of up to 80 MHz. RISC microprocessor MCF52258AG80 supports on-chip memories connected tightly to the processor core, including up to 512 KB of interleaved flash memory and up to 64 KB of dual-ported SRAM on the CPU internal bus.
