As a matter of fact, the type of analog IC that this voltage regulator 12v is equipped with is called SWITCHING REGULATOR. Space savings are achieved by placing this voltage regulator in the SOT-563, SOT-666 package. DC DC switching regulator is configured with 1 outputs. DC DC switching regulators like this one generate Adjustable outputs on their output pins to handle the power management. As the name implies, this voltage regulator 12v is designed for mounting on a Surface Mount bracket. Operating at -40°C~125°C TJ is the recommended temperature for adjusting voltage regulator's operation. 800kHz is the switching frequency of this DC-DC switching regulator. Despite its low input voltage, this voltage regulator can operate. According to the table below, DC DC switching regulator's output voltage (Min/Fixed) is equal to 0.8V. DC DC switching regulator's maximum design flexibility comes from its output current of 3A. As a result of DC DC switching regulator's design, it is designed to provide an input voltage of 12V for the purposes of operation. 10V's maximal output voltage allows adjusting voltage regulator to operate easily.
