For space-saving purposes, it is packaged in PDIP. To prevent signals from reflecting off of the transmission line, there are 16 terminations. This is a 16-pin electronic device. Temperatures above 85°C shouldn't be exceeded during operation. It's easy to operate them when the supply current is kept below 13mA.
