TL431BIDBZR Description


The TL431BIDBZR devices are three-terminal adjustable shunt regulators with specified thermal stability over a wide range of temperatures in the automotive, commercial, and military markets. With two external resistors, the output voltage can be tuned to any value between Vref (about 2.5 V) and 36 V. The output impedance of these devices is typically 0.2. In many applications, such as onboard regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies, active output circuitry provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making these devices good alternatives for Zener diodes.
