These devices are the best general-purpose comparators now on the market since they offer all these functions in industry-standard, incredibly compact packaging. Regardless of the TLV170x-Q1 supply voltage, the open collector output has the advantage of enabling the output to be pulled to any voltage rail up to 36 V above the negative power supply.
